One of the first Zig Ziglar stories that made an impact on me was about a lady Mr. Ziglar met backstage before one of his presentations. This lady was upset about some issues she was dealing with at work and after Mr. Ziglar gave her some suggestions on how to fix her problems he asked her to write out everything she liked about her job. Well unfortunately for this nice lady she just couldn't see herself taking the action she had be given to do. She felt like they were the ones that needed to change and not her. She didn't even want to take the first step towards solving the issue.
I know for many people the first step is always the hardest. Mr. Ziglar told her that he knew without a doubt that if she didn't take the first step she would never be able to take the second. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is credited with saying "You don't have to see the whole stairway to take the first step."
So let's keep it simple and START AT 1. One step and then one more. And then one more. Most success really can be achieved by taking one simple step at a time. As a Real Estate Trainer and Coach I see it happen far too often where an agent will get overwhelmed with what they percieve to be an enormous task when it really is just one simple step followed by another, and often very similar, step.
